Fans from all around the world fell in love with Yuji Itadori and his fellow Jujutsu Sorcerers (particularly Gojo), and they have been excitedly anticipating the return of the series for its second season.
It has been close to three years since the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen aired, but we now have crucial new information regarding the anime’s upcoming seasons. Everything that we know about the show’s second season is presented here.
Previously on Jujutsu Kaisen
The shonen action anime Jujutsu Kaisen is adapted from the works of a Japanese author named Gege Akutami. In this anime series, the main character, Yuji Itadori, is a high school student who makes a promise to live by the words of his dying grandfather: “Always help others” and “die surrounded by people.” Itadori’s friends in the Occult Club make the grave error of luring cursed spirits to their school, which places them in danger in a world filled with them. After a series of bizarre occurrences, Itadori is selected to serve as the receptacle for the potent curse known as Ryomen Sukuna.
The second story arc of Jujutsu Kaisen centered on Itadori undergoing training to become more powerful, and the concluding episode of the arc ended with a hint about Yuta Okkotsu. Itadori is able to maintain control over his body, which is why Satoru Gojo invites him to a Jujutsu High School. There, he makes a deal with the students to assist them in locating curses in exchange for their granting him his freedom. It is from this location that Gojo, Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki coordinate their efforts to save the planet from mystical dangers.
When the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was finally released in theaters in 2021, the fans were overjoyed. The story of Okkotsu’s training under Gojo in the prequel film follows him as he gains a deeper comprehension of cursed spirits in order to break the spell that has been placed on his friend Rika Orimoto. Satoru Gojo’s childhood and the years leading up to the events of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 will be the primary focus of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, which will premiere in 2019.
