Samsung Updates the Galaxy A13 5g to Android 13: in a Wonderful Touch of Symmetry:- Samsung is leading the pack in terms of releasing Android 13 updates to devices, having just last month released the One UI 5 update based on Android 13 for its flagship Galaxy S22 series. Now that we’ve seen updates for last year’s Galaxy S21 series, they’re making their way down to the more affordable Galaxy A13 5G and A51.

The United States and Canada received the revised Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra last week. According to SamMobile, the budget-friendly Galaxy A13 5G in select regions is now receiving the Android 13 upgrade via firmware version A136BXXU2BVK3. Since Android 11 was already included on the phone when it was released, this new version of One UI is only the second major Android upgrade for the device.

There is a November security patch included in the update that is currently rolling out in the countries of Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom. Users outside of these European nations may manually flash their software or wait a few days for it to appear in Settings > Software Update.

After receiving the Android 13 update just recently in the United States, Samsung’s mid-range behemoth, the Galaxy A51, is now also getting the same treatment in certain European nations such as Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, France, Austria, and Luxembourg. The firmware version number is A515FXXU5GVK6, and it incorporates the old October 2022 security patch. Users in those regions can update over the air through the Settings app, or they can download the firmware from SamMobile and flash it manually.

With this upgrade, the Galaxy A51 gains access to all of the wonderful new features included in Android 13, as well as enhancements to the device’s own camera and video editor. Keep in mind that Samsung has stated that this version of Android will receive no more major updates beyond security patches.

The recent, feature-packed One UI 5 upgrade has given the impression that Samsung is moving at a breakneck pace with software releases, but next year, when Android 14 is released, the company intends to top itself. Looking forward to it much!
