The best phone in the world: In my opinion, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the pinnacle of mobile phone design and functionality. When it comes to building quality, screen resolution, processing power, and camera quality, this is the best smartphone money can buy.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
The ultimate multitasking mobile device
When it comes to Samsung’s Galaxy range, the “Ultra” designation no longer simply denotes the largest phone; rather, it now indicates the largest phone plus every conceivable feature. The S22 Ultra has five cameras, a 6.8-inch OLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120 frames per second, and a stylus that can be used with the screen. It’s a Note successor, but it also seems to represent the final stage in the evolution of the slab-style smartphone. Also, it’s not cheap, coming in at $1,200.
The S22 Ultra’s brains are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU and 8 or 12GB of RAM. To no one’s surprise, the phone’s performance is top-notch; even while playing graphically intense games, it hardly ever stutters or lags. The Ultra should be a great phone for many years to come, as Samsung has pledged to release OS upgrades for up to four generations.
The S Pen stylus, which slides out of a special silo on the phone’s underside, has been updated from previous models, according to Samsung, to have reduced latency. It may be difficult to quantify, but the system is quick to respond and intuitive to operate. It’s possible to go deeply into the pen’s functions, such as the handwriting-to-text recognition options and the slightly gimmicky “Air Actions” that transform the stylus into a magic wand/remote control hybrid. If you choose, you may also do without a stylus and just scribble away. The decision is entirely up to you.
The One Setting You Must Always Leave Off to Save Battery Life on Your iphone
To a significant extent, the cameras are identical to those found in the S21 Ultra, including the 108-megapixel primary camera, 3x and 10x telephoto lenses, and a few software enhancements. Some of the best subject isolation can be found in images taken with the Ultra’s portrait mode, and you can now combine night mode with either the high-resolution or portrait shooting modes. The S21 Ultra’s excellent camera system is carried over here, and it’s 10x telephoto is among the greatest of any smartphone.
The S22 Ultra’s battery life isn’t great considering how many capabilities it has that require constant power. In most cases, a single charge will be plenty to get you through the day, but heavy users should keep a check on the battery percentage during the day and consider topping off the 5,000mAh cell. However, thanks to the 45W charging speed of a connected connection, this is a quick task.
The S22 Ultra is your best bet if you’re set on living the stylus life and would make frequent, rather than occasional, use of a 10x zoom. It’s not our top pick for the finest all-around Android phone because its specialized features are too narrow in scope, even if they are rather potent. The S22 Ultra stands alone among smartphones, though, if you need a device that can handle virtually any task.
Google Pixel 7 Pro
The triple camera on the Pixel 7 Pro from Google features 5x optical zoom and loads of hidden software methods to improve the quality of your shots even more in the background. The Google Assistant is also optimized for use on a Google phone.
The Pixel 7 Pro’s independently calibrated camera setup can now compete with the top wide and ultrawide cameras, and the periscope zoom can match or exceed the quality of the S22 Ultra at any zoom setting. The maximum zoom on the Pixel is 30x, but that’s enough of power when you need it.

Google also outdid Samsung in the display quality department, releasing a phone with one of the best color calibration and accuracy. Even better, it has a long battery life.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 by Samsung
As a whole, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a rehash of the Fold 3, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It was surprising how quickly Samsung improved last year’s foldable to the point that it was reliable, long-lasting, and enjoyable to use.
The Z Fold 4 fixes some additional annoyances by widening and centering the exterior display, reducing the thickness of the hinge, and improving the concealment of the internal camera located beneath the display. A minor upgrade from the Galaxy S22 series has been implemented in the camera module, making this an all-around great phone. It can also be opened up into a halved tablet form.
In the Fourth Generation Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
The Galaxy Z Flip stands out from the crowd with its unique design: a slim metal body that folds in the middle to create a small clamshell phone. And it doesn’t skimp either, giving you the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a decent camera for what passes for a “regular” flagship price these days ($999).
Xperia 1 IV by Sony
The Xperia 1 IV is Sony’s flagship smartphone for the year 2022. It’s a phone with a strong emphasis on photography since it can be transformed into a manual camera, a vlogging camera, or a miniature cinematic apparatus with the help of three separate apps. It also includes a telephoto lens that’s outstanding in its own right, with a range of 3.5x to 5.2x of real optical zoom (85 mm and 125 mm).
Sony’s asking a hefty price for its Xperia 1 IV smartphone, with a list price of $1,599, in a market where the iPhone 14 Pro Max begins at just $1,099. Just from distance, it’s easy to see that this phone is top-notch. On the other hand, it’s possible that it’s not the best option.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Although “gaming phones” are really just a joke at this point, it’s wonderful to see Asus totally commit to the concept. Like its predecessors, the ROG Phone 6 Pro goes to extremes. The phone’s aggressive appearance stems from its RGB backlighting, secondary screen that plays gaming-themed animations while the phone is on, and the new, hefty AeroActive Cooler 6 cooling system. The ROG Phone 6 Pro has the absurd specifications expected of a “gaming phone.” What kind of smartphone needs 18 gigabytes of random-access memory? Display with a refresh rate of 165 hertz? Were you looking for the one with the external cooler? It’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1? How else would you like it to be said?
It’s a specialized device, to be sure, but it’s difficult to leave it out of a “best” list. After all, it’s arguably the most potent Android phone currently available. You get the bragging rights even if you don’t actually use all that power.
If the ROG Phone 6 Pro’s features are overkill for you, the standard model should suffice. It’s identical in quality; the price is reduced since less money was spent on things you might not use.
Upgraded OnePlus 10
At the same price point as the Google Pixel 6 Pro, the OnePlus 10 Pro offers a different take on the “clean Android” experience. While OnePlus did not completely adopt Oppo’s Color OS, it did include several of Color OS 12’s features into its own Oxygen OS.
Just what does that mean? It’s a speedy phone with several fun extras that improve its usability. While not the best, the camera is above par. It has a brilliant display, excellent haptics, and an instantly identifiable design. The OnePlus 10 Pro’s battery life is our one complaint, and we hope that a future update will address this. Do your best to keep an eye out!
10T by OnePlus
When it was first released, the OnePlus 10T boasted a more powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 than the OnePlus 10 Pro. The 10T, however, aspires to be the more affordable option, thus it makes some sacrifices, most notably in the camera.
It’s a little back-and-forth because it’s speedier than Windows 10 Pro but not the superior overall product. The OnePlus 10T is a very capable chipset if you’re only looking for raw power in a smartphone.
13 Mini Apple iPhone
Even though the Apple iPhone 12 mini had a lot going for it, it suffered from a lackluster battery life. There was a fix for that problem in the 13 series. The iPhone 13 mini, while equipped with the same fast processor as the iPhone 13 Pro, is a much smaller device that is less likely to be in the way. And at $600, it’s hard to beat: the 5.4-inch screen is OLED, with amazing color and brightness; the body is slim and tiny; the performance is stellar, and the cameras are decent.
The Apple Silicon iMac Pro That We Desire Could Become Available in 2023
The 13 mini is not for you if you frequently use two thumbs to type on your phone. This is a serious contender if you’re looking for a phone that won’t break the bank but will still provide when you need it throughout the day.
Pixel 7 from Google
While the Google Pixel 7 lacks several features seen on the Pixel 7 Pro, it is nonetheless driven by the same Tensor chip. All of the Pixel 6 Pro’s great features, including its excellent primary camera and intelligent Google Assistant, are yours to enjoy.
The Pixel 6 now features a significantly reduced selfie camera and no optical zoom camera at all. In comparison to the Pixel 6 Pro, its design is flatter and less modern looking. But for its base price of $600, you get a lot of phones for your money.
Galaxy A53 5G by Samsung
The 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, decent stereo speakers, and high-quality camera included on the Galaxy A53 make it a compelling option. An optical image stabilizer is included inside the main sensor’s module, which is unusual for mid-range smartphones. Several bright and cheerful hues are available. In addition to delivering a standard smartphone experience, it also prepares you for entry into the Samsung ecosystem by making the entire set of capabilities available in the Samsung SmartThings app right away.
One of the greatest low-cost 5G phones on the market in 2022 is this Samsung mid-ranger. This is because there is little need to give anything up. The Galaxy A53 is Samsung’s best-selling phone in the world, and for good reason. It offers exceptional performance at a reasonable price.
Fusion, Motorola, Edge, 30,
Because of its consistent track record of producing phones that prioritize the essentials above extra features and remain reasonably priced, Motorola has won the hearts of Android fans all around the world. The Edge 30 Fusion is an unusual departure from this pattern, boasting a curved display and a refresh rate of 144 hertz (Hz), features usually reserved for gaming smartphones.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a Preview of the Top Smartphones for 2023
In an effort to keep prices down, it makes use of a CPU from the previous year (the Snapdragon 888+), although, despite its age, it is more than capable of handling the workload. The camera system is likewise excellent, and unlike the iPhone Pros and the Pixel 7 Pro, it has an automatic Macro Mode for the ultra-wide lens.
In sum, it’s not a terrible phone that won’t break the bank. It’s sleek, it runs quickly on Android, and it has a few extra Motorola touches like gestures and minor personalization settings.
