Why a Less Expensive iPhone 15 Would Kill Android Next Year: If there were ever a time for Apple to decrease the cost of a brand-new iPhone, it would probably be next year. Even if you don’t need to upgrade this year, the iPhone 15’s reduced starting price would make it a worthwhile purchase. An attractive price tag would also appeal to Android consumers in the market for a new phone who are on a tight budget. After all, the economic prospects are dismal, and smartphone sales will undoubtedly continue to fall.
However, there is a fantastic collateral benefit to putting the iPhone 15 below the base cost of the iPhone 14: Apple will reduce the prices of all the previous iPhones it will continue to sell alongside the iPhone 15 series.
There are two main reasons why Apple’s iPhone 14 series is underperforming. Since the most recent COVID lockout in China, Apple’s key supplier has been forced to severely restrict production of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, despite strong consumer demand.
Apple plans to sell the iPhone 15 Plus variant at a lower price. This was caused by sales of the iPhone 14 Plus which did not meet Apple’s expectations. The public considers the iPhone 14 Plus price too expensive.

It happened during the peak holiday buying season, meaning millions of purchasers could not obtain the iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max in time for Christmas.
The other issue is that Apple’s iPhone 14 and 14 Plus aren’t selling as well as the company had hoped. That’s reportedly why Apple is thinking about dropping the prices of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
That’s not what I’d expect from a company like Apple, which makes phones. In a best-case scenario for consumers, Apple would maintain the same prices in place next year. However, increased production costs may mean that Apple has little choice but to increase prices rather than cut them.

Except for Apple, though, the smartphone industry is declining. And next year could be even more difficult. Because of this, it would make a lot of sense for Apple to release an iPhone 15 with a lower price tag. It would hurt Android makers, boost iPhone sales, and attract new users to Apple’s digital services.
So, let’s check out what would happen to Apple’s iPhone lineup in the fall of 2023 if the company slashed prices by $100.
The thrill of the iPhone 15’s $100 price drop
Apple is currently selling the iPhone 14 Plus for a starting price of $899. The iPhone 15 Plus could be purchased for $799 if its price was reduced by $100. However, that’s the price of the bare-bones iPhone 14. That would put the minimum price of an iPhone 15 at $699. That’s a ridiculously good price for a phone that can replace the iPhone 14 Pro in all except the name.
As a refresher, I’ve often argued that the iPhone 14 is superior to its predecessor, the iPhone 13, arguing that the new model is only an iPhone 13 Pro with a few missing capabilities. Following this trend, the iPhone 15 would not include a telephoto rear camera or a 120 fps ProMotion display.
However, the Dynamic Island notch is expected to arrive on the iPhone 15 in 2019. As opposed to the iPhone 14, which looks identical to the iPhone 13, the iPhone 15 would be a completely different device.

If you’re the type of iPhone buyer who buys previous models when a new one is released, things become even better. Before the release of the iPhone 15, both the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus should be discounted by $100, to $699 and $799, respectively. A $200 price drop for the 2022 iPhones may be necessary if Apple sets the base price at $699 for the iPhone 15.
So now we have the iPhone 14 at $599 and the iPhone 14 Plus at $699. These are unbeatable costs. In 2023, a moderately priced Android phone will not provide the same level of performance.
If history is any indication, Apple will discontinue the iPhone 12 once the iPhone 15 is released. The iPhone 13 and 13 mini, however, should remain in the market for at least another year.
Comparatively, the 13th-generation iPhone Mini starts at $699. In this case, Apple would have to implement price drops analogous to those seen with the iPhone 14. The price of the iPhone 13 small may drop to $399, while the price of the iPhone 13 maybe $499. It’s unlikely that an Android phone will ever be worth $499, let alone compete with the iPhone.

It’s all conjecture based on a rumor about a price drop for the iPhone 15 that started circulating about nine months before Apple’s official announcement. A price drop for the new iPhones would immediately affect all of Apple’s iPhone models. Even though 2023 will be exceedingly difficult, purchasing an iPhone for your mother will be even more straightforward.
Additionally, many inquire
Just what advantages does the iPhone have over the Android that I should consider purchasing it?
The information security industry as a whole agrees that Apple products are safer than Android ones. Forbes found that Android devices were the target of 97 percent of mobile malware. Viruses and other malicious software targeting Android devices often spread through app stores.
Where do I stand to lose out if I make the jump from Android to the iPhone in 2022?
Transferring all of the data from the old handset is a huge problem for any smartphone upgrade. All of your saved information from apps and services, such as contacts, media, documents, and more, will be deleted. Fortunately, users can easily transfer their email, app data, and media files from Android to iPhone thanks to Apple’s syncing capabilities.

Apple invests more resources into improving its software platform than Android vendors. That’s why you’ll typically get Android phones at rock-bottom costs.

He went on to claim that “no combination of hardware from any Android vendor is as cohesively clever as the iPhone.” In addition, Apple offers superior video quality. The video quality and camera software on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max “are unmatched by any Android phone.”
In your opinion, what’s the most challenging aspect of making the transition from Android to iPhone?
Personalizing your home screen on iOS is more difficult because it lacks the same customization options as Android. Many users place a premium on being able to personalize their experience by doing things like adding widgets, altering app iconography, or rearranging app placement. So, let’s get started with that last bit.

Can you recommend the Android phone that most closely mimics the iPhone?
The Galaxy S22 line from Samsung. When compared to Apple’s iPhones, the Galaxy S22 range is by far the most formidable Android alternative. Many factors contribute to this, including the wide variety of flagships offered at different price ranges, their widespread distribution across multiple regions, and the promise of frequent software updates.

Which is safer, Android or iOS? For this and all the other reasons outlined in this post, iOS is preferable to Android due to the prevalence of mobile malware targeting Android. Malware can be removed from Android and iPhone, but avoiding infection is preferable.
Must I choose between Samsung and iPhone?
When it comes to safety, iOS devices are superior. The exclusive Apple App Store, controlled ecosystem, and frequent updates give iPhones superior security over Android. iOS devices are more secure as a result of these measures. Further, the likelihood of a virus infecting an iPhone is vanishingly small.
Hacking an iPhone is more difficult than an Android.
There are ways to exert influence over or hack an Apple device, despite the fact that it is far more difficult to obtain access to and exploit. Users of both Android and iOS should exercise caution while downloading content, especially from unofficial sources, to prevent malicious software from infecting their devices.
Which operating system, Android or iOS, do you prefer and why?
When compared to Android, iOS’s multitasking capabilities are far superior because they never crash. Tom’s Guide reports that when developing an app, programmers typically prioritize Apple’s iOS platform. Even while iOS devices are more expensive, their consistently high quality makes them the better choice.
